im thinking about this setup i ride alot of trails , but i do some mx races somtimes but i also like to do some hare scrambles but i could run the 4-1 wheels but do u think the extra inch in width would be too much for the xc races?
thanks for the advice,
anyone got this setup that rides woods any?

I'd go with the +1 arms and 4+1 wheels for woods then switch back to the stock wheels for MX like Rico does.

Yuup

+1 arms

4+1 for XC

3+2 for MX

You'll notice it for sure. Nothing like going +3 on each side but yes it does help.

Having an adjustable axle makes a big difference too..

so would the +2 with the 4-1 wheels be too wide for most woods?

Do the new ITP T-9 Baja wheels w/rolled edges come in a 4 to 1 offset?

Your choice for 4+1 wheels are limited. Douglas Billets, Burgard Beadlocks, and Hipers are all I could find.

actually they do make the baja wheels in a 4+1 offset

why couldnt u run 4-1 wheels on +1 arms in mx? too much pressure on the tir rods or sumtin?

Wouldn't be as wide!

I think the extra width is suppose to be worth the trade off a little extra bumpsteer on a mx course. Not like there are going to be rock and logs out on the mx track...

I wonder if they just started offering them? I'm pretty sure they didn't offer them when those wheels first came out.

Silverfox@C&DRacing, Do they really make them? If so anybody should be able to get them right. I wonder are they the same price as the other T-9 Baja'a. $90.00 to $100.00. I was thinking of getting the Hiper's but $175.00 each, OUCH. I've got +2 a-arms so I have to get 4 to 1 to run GNCC.

I have a distributor that has them in stock and I believe they have always made them, they were printed in the 03 catalog.

I thought 4-1 offset was 1 inch deep on the outside and 4 inches deep on the inside. Do I have it backwards??

You can get standard Douglas ULTIMATE wheels with a 4+1 offset. Around $100 each

i have douglas rolled edges on my R in 4+1's, you wont be able to run a reinforcement ring on the inside because it touches the a-arms, on mine atleast, but i have +4 arms to, that could be why
