my400 went swimming

isank my 400 in the lake this week end when it was -2 out it was off when it went in along with me any 1 have major problems i changed the oil once and it was white andthat was expected it runs what should i do

i don't know how bad you sunk it, but if it was up to the gas tank i would drain the tank and put new fuel in. i would also drain the airbox and clean the air filter. also, flush the engine out or change the oil/filter until there is no odd color to it.

Wow!! But its a Honda, it will keep going. Make sure that you change oil a few times, at least untill you are sure all of the water is gone. Clean carb and snorkle, he he snorkle, kinda fits. Good luck.

ok it was swimmin from 9 at night till 10 the nxt day it was up side down floating all night in like 12+' of water my light staid on for like 7 hours till the bat ran out so any idea i drained the oil twice changed plug

dang dude you really need to get a camera that would have been some sick stuff to see. and how exactly did you get your fourwheeler in a lake?

wow it floated? thought the ice was thicker than it was? good thing you didn't get hurt. How did you get it out of the lake???

Flush out the works man..clean anything and everything, don't try to crank it until you are SURE it's been washed out. problably need some new gaskets but im not sure, problably don't.

i had that problem with my 300. i just used some cheap oil and would put it in there, crank it a few times and drain in out. i did this about 7 times. then after it was clearing up i put a new oil filter in it. make sure ur air filter is dry.

we went across the lake at like 9 at night so it was that good of visabiltyand were like ok this aint bad it was just shere ice went to my buddys we ended up sliding to the middle tryin to turn and gain some speed on the way back we said we would take it strait and we were like 200yards a wayand it was like -2 and windy so it looked like a wind drift so all of a sudden my buddy jumps off his blaster like 100 feet awayand he and his machine slid in the open spring and hen i couldnt stop and i slid in on my machine nd had it role on me we were in the water for like a minute it was about 12"+ the guy that lived infront or it said so we just climbed out on the ice and walked to some guys house that rides sleds and he gave clothes mine ended up floating to shore and he pulled it out wit a recker and the blaster was like in the middle and hung up on a sand bar the hole was 35degrees and about200yards out and 400 yards long so yes they float well i got 20in shredders back and 22/7/10razor 6ply fronttahts my story it does run i drained it like 3 time and changed the plug i have riddin it around my yard but thats about it any thng else it would help alot i wanna race xc or at least try to this spring so i want it ready as soon as possible
