Oil tank leaking

I removed my oil tank to change my exhaust system (Do you have to remove it to get the stock head pipe off?). I had to change the oil anyway. Now where the upper and lower hoses connect to the oil tank leak around the threads. Its just a small amount. I removed them and put them back on again, making sure they were lined up and fit well. Still leaking any tips? Thanks.

You could try pipe dope or that white tape stuff you put on the threads. you could buy that stuff anywhere they sell plumbing supplies.

those connections are flared connectios and should never need pipe dope.....unless the seats are grooved.....or something....take the connections back off make sur nothing is preventing it from seating well......... then make sure they are good and tight.....using two wrenches..one on the tank fitting and the other on the hose fitting..(which i am sure you know:) ).........
