PM briantrx - he got that bead breaker from JC Whitney last year. He's used it a few times, but I don't know his opinion of it. He hasn't cussed it out or thrown it out the window or anything so I'm guessing it's worth the money.
We have a homemade beadbreaker very similar in design to the one in the pic that meek posted. we have only had one tire we couldn't bust, (stock 400 tire on stock rim) the only change i would make is to add on a piece to back of the breaker so someone can stand on it to keep it from tipping forward.
have you ever tried to use your heavy vehicle? it works very well. ;)

yep, couldn't agree more. I should've sent mine back. Instead after it broke, it sat in a corner until rider11x took it to see if he could fix it.

Jeff@quadshops's breaker sort of looks like that one but is much beefier and it will take anything off. I would get one like his. I took my rear stock rims and tires to two different tire places and they used every hydraulic tire changer and trick they knew and couldn't get them off and Jeff did. It took some time, but they finally gave.

Did the tire shops leave air in the tires? when using the bead breaker machines it works alot better with air still in it, i learnt that the hard way.

I use this one on all kinds of tires, from lawn mower and atv tires to braking the beads on my 33" truck tires. Never had a problem.

I have only had two problems with it. #1 I have trouble keeping it bolted to the floor, I just need to find larger lag bolts. #2 I can't remove or put on the low profile car tires, But heck the tire shops even have trouble putting them on.

Just play'n. Some things work for some people, some thigs don't.
if i was trying it at home, i could blame it on the beer. but, since i was at work, that wasn't the problem. we might not have it bolted down firm enough to put the right pressure on it to pop. i do like the removal part of the tool, that part works good, just it doesn't bread the bead very good for me.

Are you talking about brakeing the bead on a soft tire such as atv or lawn mowers?
