I ordered long travel a-arms and couldn't mount them up with the Elka 19" long travel shocks I have. I called the reseller and they said the only a-arms that will fit 19" shocks are Roll design Long travel and ASR Extreme long travel. I gotta believe there are others that make long travel a-arms that will fit 19" shocks, but I need to know in a hurry because I'm sending these back and need to buy some pronto. Anyone KNOW, not guess, but KNOW what a-arms are going to fit these babies? Does anyone have some that will fit for sale?
I need to know asap

What brand are they? Usually when you buy long travels they tell you that you need 19 inch shocks. LSR, Herrmann, Gibson, Walsh, and Roll are a few companies they make long travel a-arms for 19 inch shocks.

the thing is there are now 2 kinds of long travel a-arms, a-arms that use the 19" shocks and are truely in my opinion long travel....now there are long travel a-arms that hold the 16" shocks (which may seem like standard travel but they use the long travel ball joints)

my guess is you got the 16" long travel a-arms

Roll Design, Walsh race craft, hermann, jrd, leager, lonestar, and many others offer long travel a-arms

if i were you i wouldnt go to that dealer anymore :o

How can they call them long travel when they really have no more travel in the shock than with stock arms?

does anyone know where you can get long travel a-arm skid plates? If i'm going to invest this kind of money on a-arms, I want some protection! But you never see skid plates for anything other than stock arms.

as far as i know they don't make them, but they wouldn't be hard to make

I have never seen a-arm skids for aftermarket a-arms. You would about have to make your own, or custom order some.

I think their tough enough to take any abuse you can throw at them...unless its a big rock :eek2: ( the burgard +2s didnt like that to much)

The LT arms for the 16" shocks don't have standard balljoints like standard arms use. So I'm guessing the LT arms allow a longer stroke with the shocks since the ball joint won't get in a bind as early in the travel as a standard balljoint. You might also have to specify to the shock builder that your using these type of arms too, they could then set the shock up for a longer stroke.

I would think that saying it would handle like poop would be too generous..:o

I don't think it's an option for the 300ex.

yes it is, and it handles fine, we took my houser/axis LT setup and threw it on my friends 300ex for a day and it was awesome, a little stiff, but awesome, granted we used the shock mount mover

now they have 20" shocks out. They are only available through pep for the trx though. I talked to Wayne(pep) and Tim Farr this weekend, about this subject.

do a search for the 300ex shock mount thing, there is no welding involved, unless u want there to be
