400EX Differences?

Is there any differences between the 99 and new EX, besides the bigger carb on the 04,

Nothing major, mainly just graphics. They added a battery cover in 01 I think it was and think there were a few other very minor tweaks that I've heard of. As far as the larger carb in '04, I don't think anyone has actually confirmed that is the case yet.

Yeah i have been kind of curious about that whole new carb thing myself. A friend of mine just bought an 04 and was saying something about it or not. I rode it and it didnt seem like it was any different.

I didn't think they had changed the carburetor. According to all the books it went from a 35.5 to a
38. I don't have a 400ex on hand to verify it.
