Project quad

I just finished putting together this 87 250x budget run project. I still need a few more parts and can't decide which exhaust to get, sparks or hmf. Would like to hear some opinions on both. The quad is in my sig to see the mods.

Where is the cheapest place to pick up a set of front razr's, plastic, and a complete exhaust system?

I have around 1,400 to 1,500 dollars in it now and was hoping to stay under 2000 when completed. Any help is appriciated.

Its looking good. I am building a 91 right now for my girl friend, and I am going to use a 12.1 piston in it also. How hard is yours to kick start? I am thinking she might not be able to start it with that high of compression. Also what plastic do you have on yours?

I have removed the decompression cable from mine and it is pretty hard to start. It will kick back and take a bite out of your leg if you don't have riding boots on. If it is only for her to ride I would probably go with the 11 to 1, plus you could run pump gas in it.

The plastic was laying in the pile when I bought the quad in 1000 pieces, but I think it is stock that has been cut.

I am not very familar with the 250x. Is the decompression only used for starting purposes. Sorry in advance for my ignorrance.

yes only during starting. The cable runs off of the kicker, when the kicker moves the cable moves.

I am stilll looking to snag a cheap 250x frame to gusset and PC, but have not found one in good shape for a decent price.
