That's awesome, 3 different manufacturers on the podium. I wonder if that ever happened before? 250R, QuadRacer and Tecate or Banshee??????

Why did Farr fade?

I bet my stack of chips that he wins the title this year.

This is the first of many races this season in both the MX and XC events. There's going to be plenty of sharing of the first place spot amongst all the brands.

I just got off the Phone with Keith Little:

#12 Keith Little was extremely excited about his win at Round #1, and he is currently praticing in Arizona for Round #2.

Keith Little describe the race as being extremely tight. Tim Farr got the Holeshot and Keith battled with Doug Gust for beggining of the race. Around the 4th lap, Keith & Doug took different lines through a rhythm section. Keith took the outside whoops section and Doug took the inside Double section. Keith drifted to the right and Doug Gust Front Tire nailed Keith in the Side which left a bruise. Luckily, neither rider wrecked, but Keith was well aware of how Doug & Tim battled for the lead the previous year, so he became even more determined to get out front. Several laps later Keith made the pass in a sweeping turn. Tim Farr took the outside and Keith took the Inside for the lead, and he went on to Win it.

Keith Little had great things to say about Ronnies and Lonestar for supporting him this year.

I wish Keith the best of Luck at Round #2, and EXriders.com will be contacting him after the race.

Great Job Keith :D

01-13-2004, 12:05 PM
Why were some riders using swaybars like they do in flat track races. That had me puzzled. I thought they restricted travel and made it easier to corner without 2-wheeling. Let me know, what you think.

i agree, reading up on the races and stuff is much more exciting now

is it me or is it that dirtbike races arent that intersing anymore? i love to read up on four wheeler races because they are exciting, but dirtbikes NOW are kind one man based arent they? like ricky c. and bubba s. like arent they just dominationg everything and making it uninteresting to watch? no offense to dirtbike riders....

#72 is Skyler Stewart, who is probably the fastest pro in arizona. That was his first or second time on that bike since it was built. He usually races on lonestar crf's, and anybody will tell you those two bikes are quite a bit different. Rumor has it that motor is making almost 70hp and it's not even totally finished yet.

norrisboat
01-15-2004, 01:00 AM
Daryll Rath was riding the predator and yes the trx450r had engine work done to it. An undisclosed source told me that it had some aftermarket components done. It also had a full curis sparks system on it.

hey everyone.

I may be a little bias or something but I think the yfz is the best bike on the market. (of course cause Im ridin it this year). Im really let down though that yamaha hasnt taken an intrest in helpin someone out. My motor is completely stock except for a pipe and jet kit and its the fastest bike I have ever been on. Not to mention the most reliable. East coast builds them right. I really think bikes are out and quads are in right now. We just need some good t.v. coverage and they will explode. Quad racing is so much more of a family sport than bikes too. Everyone looks forward to seein each other and they always lend a hand to fellow racers. With the right backing from the factories and some outside sponser help quads will be the next big thing. They already pay all the pro dirt bike salaries with thier sales. Doug and Timmy are great riders and role models. They deserve the first factory rides, they earned it! EVEN THOUGH IM JEALOUS!!! ;) I cant wait till glen helen in feb. to get a chance to race them.

Oh yeah and congrats to Keith, he kicked butt!!

norrisboat
01-21-2004, 10:53 AM
Natalie,

Well, you have Glen Helen pretty much dialed in. If you can beat Ellis on that GH then you are my choice to win the first round. I was suprised to see you do so well at Korry's track.

Does anyone know if I can get into the pits with you guys if I show up after the ET race? or do I have to show up early or what?? Cause I wanna hang with you guys (only reason I'd be there is to watch the quad race, dont care much for the monster trucks lol). So any one know?
