300ex Handlebars

hey ive got a 2 month old 300 and i dont know what handlebars to put on, what i should do with the lighting, or what i could do with the ignition after i take the ugly piece of plastic off the stock handlebars, id rather not drill a whole but i want it to look good

You can get any kind of handlebars you want. You can get a 250x plastic piece to hold the ignition.

I just drilled a hole the same diameter as the one it is mounted in, but you cut a little notch out to keep it from turnig like is in there now. I put mine on the right side just below the handlebars, up kind of high to be out of the way of brush and stuff.

If you have enough skill and do not get distracted ezily to now wat gear you are in and when you shift to feel when you go into neatrul(sp) you really dont need those,and for the key switch,i just hooked it up under the left side of the plastic onto the frame right by the sparkplug with 3 zipties and works fine,for the light and that ugly handlebar piece i had fun beating it with a hammer,but i had to clean it up,lol.I mean you can do it this way or the ways these other guys said to do it ,it is up to you man,if you trust your riding skills and can sense and stuff when your in neurtrul(sp again)then ur good,peace.
