Hey guys, I was wondering if you could lead me in the right direction in getting a 416 Kit. I want too do it myself I dont wanna have to have my engine sent away somewhere. I am looking for the piston with no more compression then 11:1 preferably 10.8:1 tho and all the accesories that come with the piston an then I would need a new sleeve. If you guys know anywhere where I can purchase this stuff please let me know. Thanks!

Try C&D Colby sells allot of these pistons. You Do Not need a sleeve. 416 will just be a bore job on the stock sleeve.

Cams All types. Depends what type of riding you do.

Hot Cam Stage 1 or 2
TC
HRC
XR

I love my HRC cam. ;)

It does very well, good performance. I would reccommend doing some porting to your bike along with a FCR39mm carb if you don't already have these things. With the carb, 416, porting, and a cam your bike will fly like a bat outa hell, trust me, money well spent. The web cam is a fine cam, if you like where you get power then I would leave it in.

The 416 runs really well with the stock carb. The fcr is just an added bonus.

I was just wondering with the FCR. I can't wait to get mine put together, I have never rode a built 400 so I want to see the difference with the stuff I bought.

the bikes i have seen run pretty good even with the stock carb. i have been told that the fcr just helps out. a 416 is .080 over stock or approximately 87mm. just take the piston and cylinder with you to the shop and let them handle the job.

Your local machine shop will handle that. Just take them your cylinder and new piston and rings.
