a friend of mine asked me to help him with his quad.
i was wondering if anyone knows the specs on the valves in a 1998 yamaha grizzly.
the machine backfires when coasting after you accelerate.
i was thinking it may be the valves.
thanks in advance

he asked me for my help because the machine never did this before-
they use it hard on a commerical ski resort.
do you know the specs so i can at least check the adjustment?
thanks, brian.

Hey Brain does he still have his owners manual?? It should say in there, it does for my Kodiak anyway. You might try to email C&D racing on here, they are very helpful w/ that. Or you could call your Yami dealer & ask them!! Good luck!!

thanks for the advice dirtma-
i wouldnt have thought the specs would be in the owners manual
but i will ask.
usually that info is more service manual specific. ;)

Just for the record i took dirtmamas advice and called C&D Racing.
I am very impressed with this company.

I spoke with Dusty and she was so accomodating and helpful that
i wanted everyone to know if you need anything ATV this is the place to call.
She dropped what she was doing and looked up my question on
their cd rom database on the fly-----awsome people!!!
Thanks C&D- hope to see you at the races.

you fuel flow could be getting lean, or there could also be a leak or hole in your exhaust, and or the exhaust gaskets! that was my problem on my old TTR 250 Dirt bike!

good luck!
