I have a White Brothers Pro Mega Full System on my 400ex and where the silencer meets the head pipe there is a leak that wont go away no matter how tight the clamp is. What can I do to fix this? Should I just get someone at the local shop to look at it?

call white brothers & ask them...maybe they will send you a new pipe ;)

My WB pipe does it too. Its not uncommon. You can either

a) take the silencer off, and bend the end opening so that its smaller then slip it back on

b) put some NON-Hardening sealent on it.

Im sure nomatter what you do, it will leak, unless you use some sealent.

I guess I am going to try and bend it a little first. Then what kind of sealent should I use?

You didn't have any spare parts left over from your installation did you? My friend had the same problem on his 400ex, and I couldn't figured out why it was leaking because mine didn't. After further troubleshooting, I took the silencer off and noticed that he didn't have that acorn piece between the frame and the silencer. As a result, it bent the pipes and they wouldn't seat correctly. We used some Permatex Ultra Copper High Temp RTV Silicone gasket maker, and problem solved.

When applying to the head pipe and the inside of the silencer don't apply conservatively. The only downside to this stuff is that you need to let it sit for 24 hours for it to fully cure.
