Just got my 426 kit and I will be installing it soon. anything you guys (and girls) have run into doing this that I should look out for

Just take your time and read the service manual. Mark all the bolts (there are about 8 that hold the head cover on, and they are different sizes) and pay attention to how things go. Break it in correctly, and remember to top off the oil once you get it reassembled.

Where in NH are you located? Where do you ride?

my house is in hudson. the 400 is kept in milford. I ride at clough state park and bear brook park.I run a service auto shop so I don't think the project should be to bad

Cool. Are 04 state stickers out yet? My dad says they run June-June, but I thought they were Jan-Jan..

If you are going to run any more than 11:1 compression I would spend the extra bucks for a better rod and wrist pin. The bottom end tends to want to grenade. Trust me, I speak from experience.

anyone else have this problem. I heard that i will have no bottom end issues if I leave in the stock rev limiter
