opions on jetting for my 300

in my 400ex carb, im running a 155 main/ 40 pilot...but it pops like a b itch. I dont have a choke on it..but what do u think i should do? move the needle clip to the richest state..or get a 160 main, and a 42 pilot?

I'm curious how you can get away running a 155 MJ. I have the 330 kit also with a full exhaust and KN filter and I run a 132 MJ with nice tan plug. I don't have as many mods but can't see how you can run a MJ 23 sizes larger.

it may not be runnin lean like u think it is. it might be runnin rich. i dont kno this for sure but one way u can kno is take a look at ur spark plug.

but dude...it pops!!! exactly wat lean does. and it doesnt bog down like rich does.

sry but a quad pops if its runnin rich too. But if i did run better in warm weather then all u need to do is adjust ur needle clip richer. thats prolly all it is.

Check your plug.

if it is popping on deceleration, your probally lean on the fuel skrew/pilot jet. you could try turning the fuel skrew out (i am not familiar with the 300's carb, but i assume its similar to the 400's). i imagine you will need a larger pilot though. however, that is not saying you have the right main in either.
