I have like Pioneer. I have one, I bought my gf one too for her car. I like Pioneer b/c of all the different custom settings you have, depending on the model. I am sure other brands are the same way, but I prefer Pioneer.

I'd stay away from the kenwood, my dad has one in his truck, not a cheap one either, and it likes to turn itself off when it reaches operating temp. I've had good luck with sony, but my stuff is all from back in the day when it was actually made in japan. Anymore, everything is made (poorly) in china and other third world countries... Sony and Pioneer (Premier) seem to stand behind their product more than the other guys. Your milage may vary.

If you have the money u should try to go with Alpine...i have had them in all of my vehicle and they work great plus if you hook up subs or what not they always have a at least 2 sets of outputs (but i guess every radio does now) but anyways try alpine....Jimmy

That Clarion player looks good. It has enough output channels, if you want/need more you will be looking into getting an amp.

This player was the one I wanted to get my gf, but it didn't happen. The thing I like about Pioneer (not sure about other players) is that they have a programable preset along with I think 5 or 6 presets that are factory.

Not trying to sway you from Clarion, just giving you the best info that I have.

Clarion is good but the tracking didn't last long! People that I know have had the Sony's but they skipped like hell. I've always had good luck with the Alpines. My last 3 vehicles had Alpines and never had a prob!!

This is what I have. I like it. I am a Pioneer diehard for their vehicle decks though. I have had really good luck with them.

You will not regret the MP3 player. That is the greatest thing to have.

If you're lookin' for a new cd player i would highly recommend a clarion....The other truck that i was driving had an older clarion in it.....it played burned cd's (not mp3's) and the current kenwood that i have now won't even play burned cd's and its newer then the clarion! and also the clarion would play this cd that i have its pretty scratched.....it would skip a lil tiny bit on one song...put it in my deck i have in my truck now and it wouldn't play a song without skipping for prolly 10 secs....Not dissing kenwood by the way...I like them......Just not their older stuff....

yea, I'm not sure what I will do. I have a 99 Chevy Silverado (double DIN configuration)... I'd like to get something that fits a double DIN nicely with no filler plates...

Check out www.crutchfield.com I believe they give you the parts needed to install a stereo in your vehicle for free.......and it tells wether the cd player will fit e-z or what not... Kinda hard to explain.......check it out..You'll see what i'm saying its a good website

MOFO, I personally don't like Best Buy but go to there site and you can search there players and there is a Fit Vehicle option that will let you know what/if the player will fit. I bought my gf a Pioneer player about 2 months ago, she has an '01 Dodge Neon. The fit plate they put in looks real nice.

I've bought tons of stuff from them before for my previous vehicles... I'm very familiar with car audio... I've had some pretty nice systems in the past. Now a days I prefer something that isnt flashy and looks like it belongs in the dash. I know Pioneer and a few others make a fullsize head unit that fits perfect with no filler/adapter plates... I've yet to find one that I really like.

yea, I want to be able to carry around more than 50 or songs. I rarely ever burn MP3's now, so I don't want a small capicity MP3 player. I just want to be able to carry all of them and be done with it.:D

Just don't want to spend 300 or 400 on something I don't like.
