when I ride with my lid off, the wheeler bogs down hardcore....just started doin this last time I started ridin. Possibly a dirty carb?

Are you re-jetting it when you take your lid off. If not, it's gonna be way lean.

Haven't re jetted it....What jet should I use? stock 250 ex, stock filter

I'm not familiar with the 250ex but i'd guess you'll want to go up one on the main if you are wanting to ride without the lid. I really doubt you will notice any real gain though.
