id rather shell out about 200 more for a warranty and the rpm if lonestar dont stand behind it
anyone with experiece with this, ive heard that the lsr was crap and if you broke it , they might give you a good deal on another one but never replace it
give me the run down here guys
i mainly xc now, but each day i get more into mx, so im looking at it from the mx aspect
thanks

talkng strictly from what ive read on this site, RPM has the better rep for holding up thier end of the warranty. i dont remeber hearing many complaints about RPM or LSR but many against dura blue. im not sure if the cost of the axle negates any BS when there is an issue but it very well could be.

i have run the lsr and rpm and havent had an issue with either so warranty wasnt needed. i believe rpm makes a axle touted as a XC axle. maybe someone will have more info o that for you.

if you bend the lonestar...which i have this past year, they will bend it back unless it exceeds their tolarences

hopefully I'll sell it after they bend it back and just buy a RPM, i wish i bought it to begin with

RPM makes a XC axle that is -2 to +1. That might work for you. If not their other axle is from +1 to +4.

LSR axles are good for not breaking, although I have seen a couple break, I have only ever seen very few RPM's bend, never break. Durablue axles are junk if you ask me. Anyway, LSR has never given me a problem whenever I sent axles back. They sent me a new axle and hub when I sent my first one back, it must have been bent too much I guess?

yeah i have never heard any bad things about lonestar. I just bought one so there better not be any bad things.

the only axles i would buy are lsr or rpm. i have owned both on past quads and bent neither, so i chose to get a lsr for my yfz this time. both company's will cover your *** if you manage to bend/break the axle, so either is a fine choice. the reason the rpm is more popular is because its very rare to hear about one bending, but it is more alot more expensive compared to the lsr.

The RPM used to not be a whole lot more then the LSR, but then RPM had to go and raise their prices. I can understand raising them if the product gets better, but they didn't even change anything.

I have seen lots of LSR axles break, but never an RPM one.......

RPM period. If you break their axle, I hear they will buy whatever else broke on your bike because of the axle.

i bent my lsr the first ride! not even on a big jump. they bent it back to problem but if i could do it all over again i would spend the extra $100 and get an rpm or spend even more then that and get a dominator II. lsr will work fine but you wont worry as much if your gonna bend it or not with an rpm.

but thats just my 2 cents.

If you've got the extra cash, spring for the RPM. Not saying the LSR is junk, but I've had zero problems from my RPM Dominator in 2 years of MX. They're built to last, and if they don't, RPM will give you another. You can't beat that security.

I think a few members (Rico in particular) have had problems with the splines on the LSR axle, and talked to LSR about it.

LSR's reply was that the warrenty covered bending and breaking, not the splines.

I have an LSR and I never had any problems. I've never even HEARD of problems with the RPM.

I have an lsr and the hubs went on a little ruff, but the axle is awsome. If you read the warranty section on durablue it actually says that the first time you bend or break the axle they will fix or replace it, but you pay for the cost of shipping. After the first fix or replacement you have to pay $175 per fix or replacement, oh yeah, and plus shipping! I haven't had any problems with my lsr yet so i don't know what warranty is going to be like, but I love mine.
my 2 cents

Just put my LSR on today...hopefully it will hold up. Came with the warranty though.

Don't get me wrong, the LSR is a tough axle. I know many people running them in MX without problems. I've never had any dealings with LoneStar, so I don't know how they are about their warranties. I got a good deal when I bought my axle, and had a little extra cash, so I opted for the RPM. Good luck with your axle though.;)

I have a RPM Dominator and it is bent, it came with the bike I bought from someone. Does anyone know how to contact RPM for the warantee of if I can even use it?

im not sure if the warrenty is still void when you switch owners of the bike, but i have had zero problems with my rpm axle and going on 3 years now

it is a good axle, but it has seen too much abuse..

I'm not positive, but i think you have to have the warranty card for all the axle manufactures to replace them. Rpm's website is www.team-rpm.com if you want to try to look up the info. My rpm should be here this week so i hope they are good axles!

my 250r came with the x-33 axle and it was raced stadium cross, freestyle and mx for about 5-6 years and still not a single bend of break, although the chrome plating is coming off that is my only dislike of it

My friend bent an LSR on his Raptor. He sent it back and they straightened it. Then he broke it at the track and they sent him a new one, no questions asked. Pretty good service IMO! :D
