Well yesterday i was at a friends how and was gonna change my oil......i took the drain plug off and the oil drains out....i was puttin the plug back and and noticed the threads was cracked...so I took the plug back out and the treads broke into three pieces....it wont go back in tight and my bike wont hold oil....what do i need to buy or what can i do to fix it???

can't you just buy a knew oil drain plug????

Its not the drain plug....where it screws back in is what messed up.....it cracked and fell apart in my hand into 3 pieces

that happend to me on my cr, its was an old bike but all i did was put in one of those plugs that swell up, i got it at canadian tire, i put it in about 4 years ago and its still working, lol.

Get it heliocoiled. Got to a engine builder a machine shop or even your dealer if you have too.

i would take it to a machine shop and see what they have to say. if u want to fix it right your gonna have to split the cases and replace that one.

Cases arent cheap and it costs even more to get the motor completly torn apart and put back together.

your gonna need the crankcase where the drain plug is. id say its gonna run u around $250.
