HELP!! twist throttle!

I'm trying to put on my new motion pro twist throttle on a new set of handlebars (Tusk T7 (atv sport bend)). it seems like the housing won't let me screw down the bolts all the way. when i do, the throttle tube and cable get stuck and won't freely move. It's like the housing is clamping the tube. any help would be great!!

You're only supposed to tighten the housing bolts until the housing is snug on the bars. If you tightn them too much, the throttle tube will be pinched and it won't turn freely. I believe the spec on the housing bolts is only like 10 inch pounds. It's not much.

The housing bolts are barely finger tight, and when i try to twist the throttle, the housing sometimes moves too. If I tighten them down more, the tube is pinched. I'm trying to sand down parts of the tube where i think it's getting pinched. Did I get a bad kit or should I keep sanding the tube?

Anyone have a twist throttle with the same problem?
