clutch is slipping real bad in high gears . cable is adjusted still have plenty of fiber on disks. the steals look a little blue from slipping . basket has small grooves but not bad . does anybody have any ideals thanks.

What kind of oil are you using? If you try to use automobile oil you will fry a clutch pretty quick. If not you probably just need a new clutch

If your steels are warped from heat your clutch won't work properly. Check your steels for flatness.

Time for a 8 plate clutch and you might as well throw in a hinson basket. :D I garauntee that mofo won't slip..:macho

Yeah my clutch hadnt even started slippin yet but it seemed to get heated up quick and the clutch lever would have a lot of freeplay in it. I tore it down and the fiber plates were great but the metal ones were blue and warped bad. Put a new tusk heavy duty clutch set with springs in for $35 and if im really hard on it feathering it an stuff itll heat up just a little but defintly doesnt slip so I guess you get what you pay for. Go with a barnet or sparks kit.

i probally wouldn't get a barnet, but i like my sparks 8 plate clutch and i have heard the gt thunder clutch is good too. yes, a hinson basket should work really well.
