I don't know if this is possible, but instead of or addition to the search button above one of those boxes where you can just type your search.
Maybe that way more people will use the search.
Would have to deal with the 4 letter character thingy, but if you got the same error now, I don't think it would be much of an issue.
I just think if it was quicker to use, it might be used more often. It's amazing how much good info is out there if you try to find it.
