How are they LT if they take standard length shocks

they have the long travel style ball joint on them... its like 875$ for that style of ball joint on a 16 inch a-arm... this is a good deal

heres a pic of the type of ball joint it has...

A 19" shock doesn't mean that your getting more wheel travel. It is up to the shock builder to determine where the shock bottoms out and what it's free length is. You could have a 16" setup that has more shaft travel than a 19" setup. The Houser LT a-arms just allow the shock builder more room to extend the travel of the shock shafts, because the ball joints don't max out. This is what is giving the quad more wheel travel.

gizmocor is right. Your shock determines (mostly) your travel. However, you could't use a standard ball joint with a long travel a-arm, not enough range of motion. The ball joints would break when your shock bottomed.
These arms are the same design as there long travel, but have the shock mount above the lower arm instead of below. This setup is excellent in the woods because you don't have any of the arm hanging down to catch on stuff. I have used Houser stuff for years now, and will continue to do so as they hold up great and last forever.
