Since my 416 dynoed 33.5 RWHP with a Stage 2 Hotcam, I'd guess yours is around 30-31 RWHP.

416 only 34?

A bike almost identical to mine dynoed at 38.8 rwhp. I have a few more things than you though.

11:1 JE 416 piston
No base gasket
1 layer head gasket
Stage 2 Hotcam
Full Race Porting
FCR39
No Airbox Lid / Uni
Full Hetrick Exhaust

RAPTORAZ: Did you dyno with the jetting in your sig? Did you hook it up to the dyno sniffer? Just curious. A lot of people will pull onto the dyno with way fat jetting and when hooked up to the sniffer realize the lost power.

Low to mid 30's is the norm for a stock headed/carbed EX on a Dynojet dyno. I was happy with 33.5 considering it was dynoed in 95 degree heat. It was also great getting to see the dyno operators face when it dynoed that number. Since he guessed it would only dyno 29-30. Like the Yoshi piped Z400 that ran 5 minutes before me. :D

Yes, it was run with the jetting in my sig. No sniffer was used. Since I had it jetted for cooler temps, I'm sure it was a little rich. But powerwise, it made right at what it should have, so I was happy. Besides, I was anxious to see what my new 727 was gonna make so my 416 was hurried off the dyno.

What did the 727 make?

Running a little too lean, it made 59 RWHP. Now that it's broken in and properly tuned, I'm guessing it's around 61-62. Considering it's still running on gas with stock carbs, I'm VERY happy.

Dam Raptoraz them are some nice numbers on the 727 Dyno numbers can vary. A sniffer may tell ya a better number also. I have herd of guys running special tires on the dyno or just putting allot of air in the stockers for better numbers.

All the dyno runs made were on Hoosier slicks. You're definately right when it comes to different dyno's putting out different numbers. A similarly built Raptor that I know made 56 RWHP on the same dyno as the one I ran on(a Dynojet), and then went over to a Superflow dyno and it cranked out 66 RWHP. One of these days I'm gonna take mine over there just so I can have a dynosheet that reads 70 RWHP. :D

I thougt it wasn't a good idea to run the advance key with hihg compression & other internal mods:confused:

well im worried more aobut torque since i race in the woods, low end but i think a well built 416 would ahve mopre then 34 but im talking liek 11.1 proting fcr or edelbrock, and good full system exhaust i dont know what your running

is ok to run a advance key with a high comp piston, i havent put it in yet i am tomorrow but if im gonna lose power i wont ill sell it?

With the increased heat of a high compression piston and the degree key working in conjunction, some heat problems can arise.

its ok you jsut ahve to run race gas or race gas mix, if you got a hi compreison pisotn and a cam thats not amde for top end IE hotcams stage 2 i would take it out, if you ahve a stage 2 or other top end cam leave it in, i am running obne until i get my 416 built then i will probably take it out, but relal i didnt notice a difference in ehat between with and without the key, but a big diff in low end.

I think it should ahve more then 34, my bike is probably pushing that with my lrd, edelbrock, advance key, and k&N I can beat ct sonic pieps Z400s and rotax ds650s and pipe raptors, but my bike has always seemed to have more power then most 400s.

For those interested, I ran my 727 today and she made 63 RWHP and 50 ft lbs of torque. There was also a mildly built Z400 there today with cams and a high compression piston that made 35 RWHP(the owner was hoping for 40). The Z's number's make me even happier that my 416 made 33.5 RWHP.
