the 250's alright. Was a good starter bike for me. I think I'm ready for something bigger. From the looks of it, I'd say I manhandle the 250. I loved ridin my friend's piped 400. That was good for me. Bein skinny helped it too. piped 400ex +130 lb 15 year old= crazy stuff!

maybe after I get my stang done (4 banger lx to 5.0 conversion). I'll save up some money and get a used 400. Since it'll be about a year from now, I expect to pick one up (2001) for about 2500.

Nice pics...
I have a link in my sig. to some of mine. Check them out if you want. Only a few are action pics, but it's hard to get action pics with my digital camera. Can't seem to get the delay between the time you press the button and it snaps the pic. out of it.

All I see is a whole bunch of dust with some red in the middle, and some guy standind there with self-inflicted hickeys on one elbow! Just kidding! Looks like besides the roost, you know how to get some air, too. You sure get your money's worth from your air filter! Big machines are great for the wide-open areas and wider trails, but nothing blasts down a heavily wooded motorcycle trail like a 250EX. That auto-clutch works well in rock-crawling situations, too. Nice ride, dude.

wimp get a real quad I don't think I'd go there, kid, besides my 250EX, I ride a 660 Raptor, and I use 80's for approved traction devices.;)

yeah yeah yeah, bash me cuz I ride a 250. Whatever lol. Like everyone here knows, it ain't the bike: it's the rider. I'd say I'm a pretty damned good rider for ridin a 250ex. I know how to rip through corners and catch some air. I'm out of comission for awhile due to a bent axle, and possibly a need for a new swingarm. how much you think that'll run me? Thanks for lookin at the pics and keep on keepin on!

Didn't bend the swingarm. It was just submerged in mud for about 2 hours and the bearings are DONE! As for the axle. Big air....repeatedly. All day bout 8 foot flat landing. great fun but big money.

Smart riders don't need reverse! That is a cop-out because you are used to having reverse.

i dont use my reverse even though i have it. when i need to turn around in a trail i just start running down trees. USE THE BUMPER,THATS WHAT ITS FOR!!!!!!!!!!

I thank y'all for the compliments. Still workin up a storm to get the quad fixed. Broken fenders, possibly a whole new rear end, Steering stem, rebuild, and new bearings ALL the way around. Gonna take awhile y'all, but I can't wait till it's done. If I get the rebuild I might as well just throw the 250 kit in it (since it's only a 229). Anyways, how'd this talk of reverse come up? While I'm on the subject, would a real rider bash into a huge tree and go through it? Reverse is more of a trail-oriented and recreational gear on a wheeler. You definitely do not need reverse when you race MX or TT. Just wondering how this is a cop-out?
