Help me out here guys. I have recently taken the neutral light off, and am fairly certain that the neutral wire (to the light) is down by the front sprocket. So I can take this off too? Does that wire just run back to the battery?

I could be all wrong here. What is that wire that is in the clamp down by the front sprocket and what can I do with it?

I should just go get the manual, but I am too lazy right now, lol!:D

If you took the neutral light off I would just black tape the end of the wire goin to it up and zip tie it to some other wires or something and dont mess with the wires goin to the stator.

xc400, yeah I have taken care of the wires up front, I just want to get the wire down by the sprocket out of the way. I am not using it, so there must be a way to get rid of it some how without effing anything up.

Thanks for your help man.:)

I just un hooked it off the motor, cut the end off, put a wire end on it, and ground it to a bolt that is out of site somewhere. This makes it think its in neutral all the time, as well, so you can start it in any gear, with or without the clutch in.

yeah it`s the same neural wire that is in front of the sprocket and yes you can take it right off.

and chef why would you want to start in gear without the clutch pulled?

non-sense to me

well you'd definatly get a jump start off the line doin that :p lol. but i think he was just sayin if you ground that wire, it kinda "tricks" your machine into thinking its always in neutral..so all that start in neutral or with the clutch in, you dont have to do..if that makes anysense..

Its not that I would want to, its just that it happens...kinda startling at times when you think you parked it in neutral...lmao
