I just spent money on K&N, outerwears,42 pilot, 155 main, & HMF
slip on. I have one hundred bucks left to spend on it. What is the best engine mod for the money? thanks

I'd save a few bucks for more main jets, just buying 1 jet and hoping for the best usually doesn't cut it.. Higher comp. piston would help a lot too and they run just over $100.

I have considered getting a stage one or two hot-cam, but I want to install it myself, and I don't want to have to get valve springs or rockers. I can get jets cheap. I just want to get a little more punch for woods riding & MX

A cam would help also, but with a stock piston that stage2 cam might cause you to loose lots of bottom end, which is the last thing you want in the woods.

Get a stage1 cam, you'll have it installed and going within 2 hours..:macho

Yeah get the stage 1 cam it doesnt require any valve springs or rockers.

neither does the stage 2 but you'll need more compression with that cam.

don't get a cam unless your going to get a piston too.

Ill have to disagree the stage 1 hotcam is good for a stock piston, but if you plan on upgrading the piston any time just wait and install a stage 2 on the high comp piston.
