we've owned a 250r, 250x, 250ex, trx90, 300ex, 400ex, atc250, atc 90. we're buying the 450R the day it comes but personally, i think that Yamaha is one helll of a quad. i wouldn't mind having one at all. people need to stop the immature biast and see the big picture.

Screw Honda..... Ive been relying on this quad to be shipped out on time and now im pressed for time to get a quad ready for the glen helen gnc race.

Im buying the yamaha tomorrow and building it. Hopefully I can finish it before febuary 7th.

i think yfz are some bad *** quads.I like them when there all modded out with a leager pro trax front end an the new PEPS.My dad is thinkin about getting a built one used tho an ill have my dale as a back up or maybe the yfz as a back up Dales an yfzs are very close.I race almost 3 times a week indoors,An modded out yfzs an modded dales are always ,ALWAYS leading the pack unless a good 416ex rider is out there like brian foltz.But ill be honest if he had a YFZ he would be leaving everyone.90% rider..the rider is what makes the bike fast.

I could not be happier with it in stock form. Im just greedy and running a LT TCS/Walsh front end soon. I think the quad rules IMO. this is what i posted about the frame **** on z400central...


Im not going to complain about anything at all. As far as i look at it, no stock frame is worthy in the racing fields to me. Thats why i sent my frame to Pappy and Burgard. I also think that the trx450r will have its shares of cracked frames also. Its going to happen just like z/kfx frames. Just gussett them and hope for the best.

i own a yamaha and i will buy nothing else, unless it has a yamaha motor in it. i was going to buy a 400ex before i bought my raptor, but im 6'2 230 and i dont think it would fit my standards of riding at all... thats why i bleed blue. nothing really fits my standards of riding like a yamaha does. :D

Just got a white one here Fri. Dec. 28 -
Don't matter what you race or ride hard, they ALL break & have their weaknesses.
Tried to wait for the Honda, but w/ the market being flooded w/ built Z's, EX's, & 250R's I took my bone stock Z in for a trade, just to see what they'd give me, &........ Well let's just say I got a SAWEEETT deal I could not refuse.

i had a chance to get one, but i was too anxious to ride again (seized banshee engine and didn't ride for 6 weeks), so i bought a used 400ex. after that i rode a stock yfz450...i regret buying my 400ex:( those things are SWEEET!

the bars are moose cr high flex series bars. they are only 30" wide. i like them. bought them through my local ktm dealer. the cycra's are the motorcycle ones.just make sure you order the right bar clamp. pro taper clamp wouldn't work w/ my bars. had to get the mangrum bar clamp.

Thanks. I have trail terch bars and am not sure which clamps to get. whats the difference in the pro-taper mounts and the mangrum mounts?

I cant get enough ride time in... My yfz is still stock with the main reason being I choose a replica m-15 bb gun over a sparks exhaust.

whats the difference in the pro-taper mounts and the mangrum mounts?
the protaper mounts where not tapered (go figure) just a fat bar. the mangrum bar clamp is tapered so i could clamp where the bar changes from 1 1/8 to 7/8.
