I had to work for my 1st car too. It makes you appreciate it that much more if you buy it yourself. If only I was 16 again!

In Alaska we get our licence at 16, muahahaha. It's alot of fun buts it also is alot of responsobility too, but also means alot of freedom :cool:.

Heres my baby, 1984 Audi 4000 Quattro in the snow. It has an Inline 5, it's not the best but I love it.

wtf in Michigan we get our permit at 14 and 9 months and license at 16, other states are weird. I'd surely have been pissed if I didn't get my license at 16. Oh well happy bday. The years will start moving faster and faster from now on, trust me.

i got my license the day i turned 16. cool birthday present. at 15 1/2 you can get your permit. you can drive within 10 miles of your home (might be 15) if you get your tractors permit license when your 13 or 14 if its for farm use only. so you'll see kids driving big farm trucks. its quite funny.

Ever notice before any of your friends or you turn 16, you think of all the road trips you want to go on and drive all the time, then you turn 16, have to pay for insurance, dont have any gas money, and none of the trips happen?:grr: lol.. seems to happen around here

driving is fun for the first year or so.....then when u start having to drive over 100 miles a day..then it starts suckin....lol thank god for my system......id go insane if i didnt have it

Anytime anyone wants to drive me around...I take them up on that offer immediately :p

yeah I didn't think driving was that much fun from the get go compared to riding. I don't have the money for a nice system or gas so that takes a lot of the fun out of it. I just like it to get me to places. I was in a car crash and for those 2 or 3 weeks that I couldn't drive I was about to go insane.:mad:

i got my permit in july. turned 16 in oct. i cant ge my license until i take a driving crass. Nevada sucks. already got my truck tho paid 500 for it, 1970 c-10 short bed w/ a built 350. body sucks & its not painted. buts its damn fast.

I get my licence in like 1 year 4 months or something.


The only down side to that is I have to sell my quad and save my money to get a truck :(

in minnesota u get ur permit the day u turn 15 and can drive anywhere as long as some one 21 or older is with u and u can get ur license and drive whenever and where ever by urself.


driving was fun for the first few weeks but after that it got old and expensive so then u only drive when u have to, i remember when i first got my license i would drive around with friends just for the fun of it.

now i realize why my parents never did like to drive me places when i was younger.

ive been through 4 cars in 2 years, if u can try and buy a decent car and not the first junker you come across like i did for a few vehicles, once u start driving and get used to going where ever when ever it really bits the big one when u cant get anywhere and need to try and find a ride.

also stay away from the speeding ticlets, the insurance companys really dont like them

im only 15, and i bought my first truck, a 95 dakota SLT extended cab 4x4 for $4,000. bought it last october. and as a birthday present, my parents are gonna pay half a years insurance. so i can save my money for some speakers and maybe a new intake for my truck

indeed it would liven it up...alot lol. But chances are, you won't live long enuff on one of them durned things to notice how lively your driving is.
