I bought some jerky the other day from a friend and it is a little soggy. I like my jerky dry. How can I dry it out?:confused:

oven, lowest temp possible, middle rack.

unless ya have a dehydrator hehe.

if you use an oven around 250 for 12 or so hours .......otherwise.........Wal-mart carries em.... http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?cat=4064&dept=4044&product_id=1120727&path=0%3A4044%3A4064%3A90546%3A4813 ........I make mine.........about 5-8 hours depending on how dry you want it.save a ton of money doing it yourself and just as good once you find out what works..........good low fat, hi protein snack for the trails:D

200 degree's on a cookie sheet for about 3 hours....but thats for fresh meat.

This should work fine. Prob about 1-2 hours at about 200 degrees or so. Just check on it once in a while till its done the way you want it.

I don't remember all of Joe Dirt, but if it was in there they took it from Silence of the Lambs. When he had the chick in the hole waiting to skin her.
