Just wanting to know what you guys are setting youre piston to head clearance (squish). Im running an 88 motor with an 88 jug and an 86 piston with a spacer at .100 over. I was thinking of .040?:D

my head is cut on mine. Im not sure how much, but my compression is 204 PSI with a stock head gasket.

I have heard that you can change the compression with a larger or smaller spacer plate.

When I do my top end this time around I am using an 86 piston and my spacer plate. I will check the compression and see if it gains or loses compression(I am hoping I will lose some compression so I can run 93 in it)

we shall see.

well, my squish is definatly less than stock.

id say .022???

I dont feel like getting some oil and measuring my squish with a bottle that measures how many cc's the head area will take. So I am just guessing.

i measured with solder,
i thought anything les then .030 was dangerious because when the parts in there get hot the sweel and may possibly hit???
