Close it off 1/4 turn at a time. Also you could try adjusting your needle - the needle will affect jetting across the entire throttle range. The airscrew is only associated with the pilot jet which controls the jetting at less than 1/4 throttle. What's your altitude/mods/air temp?

is it just me, or does anyone else get that "special feeling" when a female talks engine stuff?

Haha, ya I know just enough to be dangerous. My husband does all the maintenance on our bikes and I help out. We actually were just playing with the jetting on my 300 this morning so its all pretty fresh in my mind.
