I have my carb off of my 300 and when i push the throttle it shoots gas half way across the room, where my friends 250x doesnt shoot gas out. Is there a problem there?

gas tank is not even hooked up

I havn't looked at either bike but.....does the 300 have an accelerator pump on the carb (like a 400ex) where as the 250 doesn't?

yes the 300 has an accellarator pump on the carb. as for the 250 i have no clue because i have never worked on one. But that is why your carb shoots out gas.

Yep that info is correct. It is spose to shoot out gas. the 250x has no acclerator pump.
