could aftermarket cannondale shocks fit on a EX?

The length of the shocks are the same, but valving may not be correct.

im tihkning about buying a set of aftermarket cannondale shocks and then sending them out to be revalved so they can be set
will they be able to mount on to a 400ex?

I have a set of C-Dale Speed Ohlins front shocks. They fit a 400ex. All you need is 400ex top bushings. I am selling mine. If your interested, PM me with an offer. They come with 400ex bushings, and cannondale bushings. Let me know.

is it hard to install top bushings on the shocks?

I have no personally done it. When I got my shocks, it was already done.
