I have been told that you can have your stock rear shock on the 400ex rebuilt to pep standards. Is this true? How much is it? Is it worth it? Who do you contact?

Most places can take your rear and change it over to a ZPS type shock for about $400 -$500. check out the setup that Elka has for the rear stock shock. Jeff at the Quad shop can helpe you out on info. to me it looks like the best setup maybe. It has different linkage and a new spring I think and it will give you more travel also.

You can also have the pep limited mass conversion done too. I think thats under 300. You would have to get ahold of pep nacs or baldwin.
