Do long travel A-arm make a big difference compared to a standard +2 or+3 A-arm. I need to know to justify the expense.

If you got the money too, why not!

there are nice LT setups out there for cheap now

I picked up a Roll/PEP setup for $1620

and now that Arens is comin out with their long travel a-arms for only like $600 you can get the TCS front shocks like $1000 i think and you'd have a good LT setup for 1500

I had standard travel before on +2 a-arms, good setup for novice but now that i'm movin up the classes it wouldnt be good enough

When I had to make this same decision for my YFZ450 a couple months ago, I found deals that made LT too inexpensive NOT to buy it. The difference between LT and Standard travel front end was about 140.00 in my case.......LSR/TCS

id say that there is a difference between standard and lt.....when i went to lt it was such a nicer ride.

so i would spend the little extra cash and go LT

of course I am biased because I have a LT setup for sale now, but in my opinion it is definately worth it. It feels more stable and you have the added wheel travel. (an inch or so may not seem like much, but it makes a huge difference)

I have a set of Burgard +3's with PEP ZPS 19" shocks if you are interested PM me.

IMAO, if ur thinkin of goin with LT do it. u wont regret it. i went with regukar travel, and for the past year or so, ive been wantin to "upgrade" to LT. just been tight on money. i should have done it right the first time. so, unless ur not serious about rcain, or like to trail ride a lot, id say ur only choice is what brand of LT a arms and shocks.

i'm goin with a long travel set up also...

i'm gonna get TCS shocks i see they are 750$ (i dunno what adjustable and rate that is yet bc i havent' called) but its crazy not 2...

u'll see arens TCS on my 406 soon as i sale some other things:D

I think with the prices today, it would be crazy not to go LT. You can get the TCS LT Shocks for a great price, and places like Burgard, JB, Arens, etc are making LT arms for a good price.

I believe a guy on YFZ Central said they were $675 or something like that. You can check with Baldwin or Hetrick Racing on the JB stuff.

You'll get a much smoother ride with LT. The shocks can be setup much better which is were you get the better ride from..

like alaska said..you would be stupid to NOT get a lt front end...its like 100-200 more over standard travel. well worth the money.
