My buddy stripped his head on his 400ex does any one know what size tap to use?

The hole from the factory is 12mm I believe. Use a 14mm thread insert to fix it.

I don't know if it helps but I did that once and I tapped it and put grease on the tap to catch the metal shavings.:D
