With a 4.3 gallon IMS tank on a 400ex, if it rolls over will it damage the gas tank. I'm asking because I do it enough that people say I need to put my decals on upside down so peop;e can read them. Need a reply if anyone has one..... ;)

I wouldn't worry about it. I havn't heard of this being a problem for anyone else. But...............anything could break in a roll-over................. as Im sure you know.

Your handle bars should keep the tank from hitting the ground..

The IMS uses the stock rubber straps so it'll give a little in a wreck to soften any impact.

I rolled mine and hit plenty of trees also.Never hurt the tank, like Rico said your bars will keep it off the ground(until they break off:mad: ).You'll be fine trust me.

I decided from the feedback that it will work for me so I just ordered mine in Natural color to keep an eye on my gas level. And, I had an idea: What about cutting a slot in the side of the plastics to use to see the fuel level toward the bottom of the tank? That may be a hot set up!

Very true! Good thinking......but if I put a 12 volt windsheild washer pump connected to the battery with a toggle switch to run it, and a section of hose mounted above the slot to wash the mud away.....................................Yep we will scrap that idea!!! :D LOL!

I know some members on here did have fitment problems with them, but I see them on 400ex's at races and they always look like they fit well. I will post when I get mine on to show how it worked out.:D
