I got an HMF slip on and when it says raise the stock needle to the first clip, does that mean the clip most towards the middle of the needle....or the upper most the one near the top of it thanks

Lowering the clip on the needle itself will richen it.

You may need to drop 1 position on the needle with the addition of a slip on, but certainly not all the way down.

Don't trust jetting instructions that come with pipes they are almost always BS.

i totally agree. i would put the needle in the 4th position when you start counting from the top. do not go all the way down to the 5th. in the summer months, the stock 3rd position is probally what you will need.
