sure...........8" wheels off of an old 200EX 3-wheeler is the same bolt pattern I believe..........I would go with 20" tamers for everyday use.

Go with 20's plus they'll fit your stock rims,,,they don't make an 18in tire for a 9 in rim that I know of..

I had 18s Turf Tamers on my 400, ordered them from http://www.rockymountainatv.com and received them pretty quick, got the wheels and tires for cheap. I would recommend some 20s if you do any trails though, I had a little problem with clearance.

whatever you do don't run the 18x11x10 size tire unless you ride nothing but flat smooth stuff cause if you hit a rock you'll bend the rim...i ran 18x11x10 holeshot mx tires and i've bent the hell out them

If ya put 18in tires on a quad and plan on doing trail riding well then ya might wanna pull your head out of your butt first,, 2nd send the tires back and get a tire that's meant for the trails. 18 are for tracks and that's all no questions asked..

1st of all...i didn't run the tires for trails cause i race and ride tracks....2nd of all i bent my rims on tracks with rocks on them...don sit here and tell me to pull my head out of my ***

I'm not pointing the finger at you junior I'm explaining why someone shouldn't get 18in tires... Some people get em because they look cool but don't understand that they aren't worth a crap unless you race...so settle down...em kay...:D

Thanks Rico and magrath stinks or whatever .during your arguing i got some good advice from ya both.Im going to ues my stockers for trail and get some 18x10x8 turf tamers on the rim ,Chapperal sells them for about120.00$i think, for race. This way i can swapem out easy.i think 18 will help with stability (1in lower)Will i need a larger front sprocket or smaller ? im thinking larger?

run the stock 15T sprocket with the 18" tires.........a smaller sprocket would be geared too low in my opinion.

Yeah I put a 14 tooth on for about 2 weeks and 1st gear might as well not be there,,way too short..:D

I went back to the 15 and it's much better..

9.5 works best on the 400ex

Go with the 9.5" width. You will be able to turn them over better in the corners. If you have the cash go with the beadlock rims. At least go with 190s.
I would check rockymountainatv.com for pricing. I have found them to be the best price for tires. The beat beat everybody.

Well heres more input from me on this,,,I've got the 11 inch wide holeshots on douglas 190's with rings,,not beadlocks. I've got a buddy with the 9 inch turfs on champion beadlocks and he's busted the tire of the bead like 3 time this year,, and I haven't once,,,he's gone to the wider tire to help stop tire roll and ta help keep that skinny tire from busting it's bead,,,maybe it's just a mishape on his part I don't know but I'll always run a wider rear tire,,,and almost all pro's have gone to the wider holeshot tire on the rear also,,
