I'm lookin to buy a pipe that will be reasonably loud yet still give a good power gain. I ride trails alotand sometimes on other peoples properity were i can get caught. I was wondring what the sound levels and power gains on both pipes and your oppinion on wat i should get.

I don't know about the Megamax, but the T4 is VERY loud.

I've got the T4, and I also have the quiet core...

By itself the pipe is quite loud, no doubt..

even with the quiet core it's still loud (although it cuts out much of the "bark")..

If your going to be riding places where noise is an issue, the T4 will be to loud, even with the quiet core... (I put my stocker back on when riding in noise sensitive areas).. I've yet to hear an aftermarket pipe that was even close to stock noise level, they are all loud..

Do u have any idea wat the db levels are. Ith ink the stock is 88. Also does anyone have any idea the legal db level is

The Megamax has a tolerable exhaust note, and still sounds sporty. The E-series is a bit quieter but not far off. The Megamax adds some torque and has been a good exhaust so far for me, if that helps....:p

the T-4 is 94dbs, it was one of the quite ones

i thought 94 db was on the 250ex?

its 95db w/o quit core. Dirt wheels said so in Aprils edition. and no they weren april fooling about that like the 750EX

my T4 rated at 97db without the quiet core. I have not had it checked with it in yet.
I noticed when I put in the quiet core it cuts my top end down A LOT. it still pulls good on the bottom though. have any of you guys had that problem? would re-jetting it with the quiet core in help?
I wonder if I re-packed it if it would get down to 94db without the quiet core?
BTW how do you re-pack it? I pulled the end cap and SA out, but cant figure it out.

does any one now wat the legal db level is PA. Also how many db's would the quiet core take off?
