Hi! today i went riding for a long while and my left hand went numb my clutch lever is to stiff for me..Im used to those lose ones that i dont have to use a lot of energy to pull in. Iwanted to know if there was any good clutch levers and perch for under 50 bucks. I'm pretty much looking to buy one that doesn't have a lot of tension on it to pull it in Thanks -greco

Go get yourself a new cable first. I think Magnum has some perches for like 20 bucks but the cable, will probly fix it.

Yeah a new clutch cable will fix it.
How new is your bike you may be able to just lube the cable.

Either way is gonna be a lot cheaper than $50 to fix.

How big a boy are ya?

j/k I have read that a lot of people that have smaller hands have trouble with the 400's clutch lever & switch to a dogleg or Motorcycle (cr250) clutch lever to make the clutch---shorter throw/easier to pull.

Does that make any sense?

Go ahaead and get the perch if you want but the cable is causing your stiffness. Might as well get it all on one trip. If you don't have one already get a parking brake block off too.

Its easy telling paople to spend money that aint yours :blah:

i put on a e-z clutch pull lever and compared to stock it worked great and it was only 30.00 bucks.......then i put one on made by FLY it was supossed to be really low clutch pull one of the high dollars ones and it sucked it was worst than stock so i put the e-z pull back on and it worked great again!!!!!

In the review section on this site, they do a review of the RTC lever. They claim it reduces pull by 40-50%. Check it out.

How much for the e-z pull clutch and perch? And how much is the CR250 clutch and perch? I am thinking of doing this to my ride too.

I just bought a clutch & perch off of e-bay.
I e-mailed the guy for info & he said all years cr250 perches are the same 7/8" like the 400ex. I got it for 12.95+shipping.

Doing this also eliminates the need for the big *** parking brake mechanism.

If you e-mail the guy he probably has more.

I just went through this a month or so ago and I put a new stock cable on and bought the rtc lever and love it. I liked it so much that I got the matching brake lever and it's just as nice with different adjustments. You will spend around 12.00 for the cable and the clutch lever alone is around 50-60.00 but worth it. good luck!

yes, c&d can get rtc products. they sold me the rtc scoops at like $8 or $9 cheaper than what is listed on rtc's site. they will probally have the best price. c&d also treats you good. their # is at the top of this page since they are the site sponser.

I got of the Moose Fly perch's from Dennis Kirk. It was $50 and it's WAY-MO-BETTA than the MSR easy pull that eats a cable a month that cost me $35 plus shipping! It pulls easier than my buddy's Magura Hydro perch. The only thing I suggest is, lube your cable often! I lube mine every oil change( 10- 15 hrs.);)
