Im looking into getting a chest protector and was wondering what are some good things to look for and if there is a difference between a roost and a chest protector and if anyone recommends anything. Thanks

i have a fox roost. it's saved my chest from taking some spills and from alot of roost from te bigger guys flying by me.:D it's taking some hits and held up and did its job really well. that's waht i would recommend.

I used a Fox Roost 2 for the past 4 seasons. It was pretty good, but the "floating" shoulders would hit my helmet if I turned my head too fast when looking down or something. I just got a Thor Aftershock, and it fits and looks great. Haven't gotten a chance to use it yet though since it is a Christmas present. Bob's Cycle has them (Thor Aftershock) on sale for 50-75$ depending on color..
