can you put a 426 and 416 with a stroker motor? and what would it mainly do for for you?

i am not sure your exact question, but you can do a 416 stroker. i think this ususally comes out to be a 440. i an not sure about the 426 but it seems do-able.

what i was asking is i know you can put a stroker motor on a 440 and i was wondering can you do it with a 416 and a 426.... if you did what would be the main reason to like what benifits would you get from the stroker? and what do you mean if you put it on a 416 it would be a 440?

when you stroke a 416, you actually have the volume of a 440 i believe due to the stroker crank. i think this gives more bottom end power than a regular 440 overbore. however, i think the regular 440 gives a little more up top. i am not positive, that is what i think though. someone will chime in and let us know. i haven't looked at a stroker kits so i don't know a ton on them. the advantage of a 416 stroker is that it won't produce as much heat as the regular 440. the disadvantage of the stroker is the cost. the 416 stroker will have in a 87mm piston and the 440 will have in a 89mm piston.
