This is two seperate marks from my riding pants. I want to remove them cause they stand out like sore thumbs,. I know there should be a way to remove them...
What have you done to remove them?

I would try 000 steel wool. It works well to remove stuff from chrome. I used to on my sparks whick is ceramic coated and it worked well. Just make sure it's the very fine steel wool(000 or 0000)

I took a torch and melted the plastic off all the way. Had to do the whole frame swingarm and full muffler system like that after my quad caught on fire. Seemed to work fine.

Yea, just what I was going to say. You may also want to try lacquer thinner when the pipe is cold.

start the quad. let the plastic heat up and get a razor and finely scrape off an end then peel the rest of it off.

I melted my boots to my fiances Hooker Headers on his Harley - needless to say he was a little po'd - he used some Oven Cleaner - wouldnt recommend steel wool or a razor - unless you have a steady hand - or money to replace your exhaust :)

If you use oven cleaner DO NOT get it on any aluminum part. It will oxidize it, leaving white spots and darkened spots that are impossible to remove without sanding them off. I learned this the hard way.

Got nads?

I just use steel wool on my pipe, I got a paulturner triple chromed pipe and use coarse steel wool, it works godd and shine's the pipe very good, it's even good for just removing water spots( and no it won't scratch the finish of the pipe). You could use the fine stuff too, but it will just take a whole lot longer to do!

about the plastic, blackraptor16 forgot to mention to start it up and let it warm up, then put the oven cleaner on and it should just wipe right off with a rag. i have done it many times
