Yeah i saw that I while ago. I definetly think it is real. Everyone around here owns arctic cats I am really sick of it. They think they are so great and always dis polaris but they have not even rode one before. My friend just got an f6 and he raced someone with a 2001 zr600 and blew him away like they were standing still. They finally have something that can beat polaris 600's. Hopefully next year polaris can find a couple more hp in there motors but please don't make them so high like the firecats.

I've seen it before, I think it looks way to much like an rx-1 for me to belive it. I'll wait until I hear something with some truth behind it

A 900! That would be a fast Polaris since the 800 can get up and go good already:eek2: Cool to see it in the Rocky Mountain King and that they plan on going to the A-arm setup too. Now all they have to do it catch up with the new Arctic Cat KING CAT 162, that thing is wicked and goes where ever it is pointed.

Go Polaris (Sleds for that matter)

That picture likely came out of Osceola, and it is real. Should just be a motor based off the 800 EV bottom end and cylinders. I also think it looks to much like an RX-1, but that is the way sleds are going now (Firecat, RX-1, and now this). The Firecat really hurt the other big 3, and now Polaris has to do something to keep up. I am a Polaris man through and through, but they definitely need to do something in the power dept. to compete. My high comp. piped 800 is juist right there with a Firecat.

That picture leaked out from the design team and Polaris has been spinning circles trying to get it off the net. Good luck guys. :D

I dont like it. They cant figure out their own style so they steal from rx1s looks and rev looks. besides polaris can jump their ccs up as high as they want.. they still arent gunna beat shlt:devil:

not sure, all I could find was the picture. I am sure it will be going for over 10k though. I doubt there is much more info other than just that pic:)

I heard the guy that took that picture got fired for releasing it. Not sure if it's true or not....that thing looks mean though...I was going to post this picture like a month ago but forgot where I saw it, I know it was on www.hardcoresledder.com somewhere in their forums. Oh well, ya beat me to it.:p

It's just a prototype - if the picture is real, they're just doing it for the finished product and a general idea.

THis will be like the 450r of polaris. THeir reputation is all but gone right now with all the new technology in the high performance sleds of the other manufactures. Looks like it could be one kick ***** sled if it turns out to be true.

That's a mountain sled though. They need to come out with something that is high-performance like the RX-1, Firecat, and the REV. Right now they have the Pro X's and those are sweet as hell too but they've been out forever and I don't really know if they match up to the new toys. However they do quite well in the SnowCross and can hold their own against the REVs and Cats.

Here is my opinion of the big 4 sleds right now.
RX-1: big, heavy, expensive, mediocre performance
Firecat: fast, light, ugly, and very tippy
REV: ugly as hell, light, and nimble
Pro-X: still the best looking sleds (in my opinion at least), light, nimble, and decent power.

So basically, if Polaris could just stick to squeezing more power out of their engines with a bit more technology they could have it made. They had the fastest sleds for several years in a row, and just have to get back to that point. Sure, I am biased, but I am not the only one who feels this way. And I have ridden all these sleds. The Firecat is really impressive, but it is very tippy, and the looks don't impress me too much. The sled industry is really going to turn around come 2006 unless EPA plans change. No more 2 smokes unless they can cut emissions by a healthy margin. Ski-Doo is on the way with their semi-direct injection motor. Don't be surprised to see a lot happening in 2005 because it might be the last chance to produce sleds, and bikes with the current technology. Things are a changin'.

I agree basically with all of what you said except for the fact that I like the looks of the REV and Firecat. I think both of them look really mean and aggressive. Although I think that nothing will really be able to beat the REV's performance on the trails, whoops, etc.

i like the look of those REVs also. THey kinda remind me of the ds650 for some reason. The front end anyways

12-24-2003, 09:31 AM
The front KIND of looks like the front of a DS, I've always said that ski-doo should come out with a quad and have the front of it look like the front of the REV with the headlights like that and stuff, I think it would be a nice lookin quad.:blah:

I've always thought they should come out with a quad where the front end looks like a hot naked chick:blah:

ROTF:D You'd always end up with someone riding directly in front of you slowing you down because they'd be staring at the front of your quad..lol
