Just purchased a CRF 450 timing chain and noticed it is wider then the 400ex chain. And have concerns that it will not center on sprockets and chain guides. Like to know how many people have run this chain, how long they have run it, and what did their chain guides look like after running it?

There are other threads concerning this, but I'll throw in my $.02
The CRF chain is wider; that is the idea (added strength).

I have run this for about 8 months with no problems. Everything still looks as it did and I don't anticipate any issues with it. Stick it in and forget about it.

I just installed a heavy duty chain and it works just fine, doesn't hit anything. I don't know if it is a CRF chain or not but it was just as cheap as one...:D As thick as they are compared to stock I don't think I'll need to replace it for another 10 years...:eek2:
