alright so i sold my r :( and now i keep on finding extra parts laying around to remind me of it. anyway, i found a brand new (still in bag) jl (james lucky) case saver. it has the shift shaft protector on in and is the aluminum finish. part number from james lucky is JLD-400. it is for any year trx 250r. it is listed on the website ( http://www.jlatvproducts.com/catalog/index.htm ) for sale for about $35. i will sell this one for 25 shipped. email j2one2@hotmail.com if youre interested. thanx.
