300ex neutral problem

hey i ride 300ex and for some reason after i have been runing for a while and the motor gets a chance to get hot it is hard to get it into neutral it always just goes into 2nd.then when i shut it off and try to put it in neutral it usually goes in one try. I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem.also i hate how people always dis on how bad the 300s are so hard to put in reverse.once you get used to it it isnt a problem.
