250r jetting

I have an 88 250r with boyseen rad valve and PT pipe, and K&N airfilter, and i cant get my powerband to hit right from mid to top, it wants to break down and not run like a normal power band,
almost seems like its runnin to rich, but when i drop the needle it runs worse, dont know what is wrong help please

it could be the tuning of your pipe. If it is tuned for top end then it won't have much bottom end or vica verca. If leaning it out made it worse then go the other way on it until it runs right. Jetting isn't really something that someone can just say with this this and this you should use X jets. You can get it close but you will need to ride the bike and see how it runs or check the plug to get it dialed in proplerly.

Ok, i'll try and mess with the configuration and ride it, thanx for the help, ill post back asap
