I have a question for you guys....

I have this new helmet that I bought when I owned a street bike and it cost me like $250 and I sold the street bike soon after and I have this helmet just sitting there... I was wondering how it would hold up in dirt and sand...

Whats the pros and cons? I dont care about it getting chipped and what not... I just dont want to look stupid wearing this helmet.. Im going out to glamis and my original helmet is pretty beet up and its going to the shop for a new coat of paint... But I wanna put this helmet to use... I tried selling it but I still have it.. should I wear it to ride?

I have been tempted to buy a troy lee visor and take off the visor on now and call it a day...

What ya think? Yeah or Nay?

Here are some pics..

It won't fit my fat head... To answer your question, riders will likely throw rocks at ya if you wear it on the trails... Best to sell it.

I wear one sometimes in the winter when I ride on the ice. Keeps my head warmer.

go ahead man it's the same as a snowmobile helmet and thats ehat they use. it will holeup just fine. The only thing is you might have to change the sheild every one in a wile. But thats no big deal.

it's up to you nobody is goin to throw rocks at you, people wear them all the time in my area when it gets really dry and dusty they see to do alot better at keeping out the dust then an mx helmet and goggles

Dont get me wrong... I have a regular Answer M7 riding helmet that is getting custom painted .... But I just have this helmet mentioned above sitting in my shed so I figured I would put it to good use...

And im not to worried about people looking at me and pointing at me... I would rather wear this helmet than some of the helmets that some people wear... I just ordered the troy Lee visor for it... Looks nice... I just put my other visor against it and it looks nice..

I wear my snowmobile helmet when it's cold out, sometimes it's better then goggles in my opinion, for dirt and such.;)

My dad wears a black street helmet in the dirt. He just covered it in MX stickers so it went from looking ridiculous when he was riding to downright side splitting funny.

i would get some kind of mx helmet, that street helmet will be too warm. i used to wear snowmobiling helmets all the time riding my quads. now that i got a mx helmet, ill never go back. except for maybe when im riding in winter.
